carbon Coach

Support in meeting your carbon reduction goals

Mobilize and Align Resources

Over the years, we’ve had an opportunity to talk one-on-one with over 3,500 leaders in sustainability and energy management, exploring ways to expedite change in their organizations. We’ve also had the opportunity to coach and train more than 5,000 C-suite executives in our careers in the executive development industry.

Our impression, based on this experience, is that leading for the planet can be a “tough gig” even if your leaders say that they value sustainability. Some of these struggles may seem familiar:

  • Organizations set distal carbon reduction goals, without a meaningful way to get there

  • Your leaders — and their commitment to climate goals — change

  • Your organization is distracted, even chaotic

  • Climate planning is relegated to one person or a team that has limited credibility or influence

  • You wear many hats, representing all that is good (diversity, corporate citizenship, sustainability, social justice, etc.)

  • Sustainability is primarily a marketing role, about creating the impression of progress

  • You have to compete for resources with other leaders who are better connected or more able to build a business case

  • You sometimes feel alone in trying to do what you think is right for your organization and the planet

Our monthly, 45-minute pro bono coaching sessions help you as a LEADER driving change, by helping you hone a compelling vision and learn to mobilize and align resources. We also help you maintain your sanity, energy and optimism while you navigate a turbulent world.
