About GDV
Our two founders, Glenn and Paul, came out of the executive development industry, where we worked with mid- to upper-level executives in large companies. We asked ourselves, what can we do for the planet? How can we help innovators drive improvements in energy, water, food, etc.
We started Green Dock Ventures with the premise that our civilization is on a problematic trajectory, and something special needs to be done to prevent catastrophe. Could technology be leveraged to drive change for the planet in the same way it has revolutionized other industries? What role can leaders play in driving change at scale?
Knowing that we had much to learn … and many friends to develop … we began by starting a conference for sustainability leaders.
Now in our 7th program, GREEN WAVE (GreenWave.Live) convenes leaders and innovators in sustainability to build relationships and share best practices in accelerating sustainability.
Along the way, our ideas about helping the planet began to gel. We concluded that the fundemental problem affeciting th planet is that organizations have competing interests, a focus on the short-term and the ability to green wash their actions. What the world needed was transparency and collective action, focused on meaningful change and guided by the experts that we met at our conference..
GREEN PIN removes the walls around organizations, mobilizing customers and employees to drive adoption of sustainability innovations.
In planning the launch of Green Pin, we realized that wee needed a way to reach users who would use our system with passion . to drive change. Green Bowl energizes and directs the climate movement on college campuses. Activists identify leaders and drive for specific change, using Green Pin.
